Jenndonn asked me in another thread how I got into dolls, so I though I would answer in another thread. I know people that had been getting into them, but I had absolutley no interest in them. I was hung up on BJD's (ball joint dolls) or SuperDollfie's. I don't know if any of you are familair with Dollfie's. They are made in Japan or Korea depending on the company. They are made from polyurethane resin, and absolutly BEAUTIFUL - at least the boys. The girls are ugly, pointy chinned, long necks, I just don't know why. Anyway, they are anywhere from 22" to 24" tall, and jointed in 12 to 14 places and are super posable. They are aslo $500+, which made it unreasonable to buy. Then I ended up deciding that A) they are to breakable and B) they are to expensive to be that breakable. So I decided to go with American Girl dolls instead, only making them boys, just like the dolls I REALLY wanted. Sort of transferring the ideas to them, except making them younger. So that's how I got into my dolls. I think I am happier this way, but I still wish I could get some BJD's sometimes. I guess I could have had one bu now with what has been spent on AG, but...oh well. I am happy. I uploaded some pictures in an abulm of the Dollfies that I really loved.
